Nicolas de Staël, Catalogue Raisonné de l’oeuvre peint (Book) by Françoise de Stael. 2000. Mint condition, 5.264 Kg. Publisher Ides et Calendes. French texts. Rare book.

Catalogue raisonné de l´oeuvre peint, followed by the edition of his correspondence. This is obviously the reference work that systematically documents “the torrential evidence of a dazzling career” (to use the elegant formula of Germain Viatte who signed the preface). 1100 works in the catalog.

Nicolas de Staël (1913-1955) is a French painter originally from Russia. Nicolas de Staël’s career spanned fifteen years, from 1940 to his death. A prolific artist, he painted over a thousand canvases during these years with diverse influences — Cézanne, Matisse, Van Gogh, Braque, Soutine and the Fauves, but also the Dutch masters Rembrandt, Vermeer and Seghers.

Attention = We have the same catalogue raisonné of the painted work in =second-hand book=, in very good condition but with slight traces on the box and the cover at the price of 650 euros. Contact us if you are interested. Thank you.
